The storms are not expected to reach severe intensity.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Thunderstorms are expected across southeastern Michigan on Tuesday as cooler, drier air moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The showers and storms will linger through the morning hours, before a second round of storms moves into the region during the afternoon hours, the weather service said.
Those storms are not expected to reach severe intensity, but forecasters warned they will still be capable of producing heavy downpours and strong winds up to 40 MPH.
