Police said Brown and his wife walked into the restaurant and placed an order in the afternoon hours. Brown then asked for extra guacamole, but he was upset with the extra serving, believing it was too small of an amount, according to police.
Brown then walked behind the counter and started packing his order along with some extra guacamole, according to police.
When workers tried to stop Brown, a fight broke out and Brown eventually fired a shot from a handgun, striking a worker in the knee, according to police.
Brown then calmly grabbed his food and left the restaurant, according to police.
Brown did have a permit to carry a concealed weapon and did not have any prior criminal convictions, according to police.
"The victim in this case was shot in the leg for simply doing his job. That is unacceptable," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "This was a serious crime, and Aaron Brown will serve serious prison time for his actions. This sentence provides the victim with justice."
