Metro Detroit Weather: Single Digit Wind Chills

Saturday's high is expected to hit 19 degrees with with daytime wind chills pushing temperatures to as low as minus 1 degrees.

METRO DETROIT — A passing polar front will keep Friday frigid with winds keeping temperatures in the single digits throughout the metro Detroit area, the National Weather Service said.

Although highs are expected to reach 18 degrees Friday afternoon, winds will make it feel like subzero temperatures. Friday night is expected to be even colder, with an overnight low of 4 degrees with wind chills well below zero, the National Weather Service said.

Saturday will remain much same as Friday, expect for sunny skies. Highs are expected to reach 19 degrees on Saturday with daytime wind chills pushing temperatures to as low as minus 1 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday and Monday is expected to stay dry with temperatures warming back up the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies, the National Weather Service said. The next chance for wet weather could be Tuesday, which could produce a mix of rain and snow showers. Tuesday high is expected to hit the low 40s.
