This MI Town May Top Its Snowfall Record For Single Season: NWS

GAYLORD, MI — A northern Michigan town might break its record for snowfall in a single season this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

As of Friday, Gaylord has seen more than 181 inches of snow for the 2024-25 season, according to the weather service.

The record amount of snowfall for Gaylord is 185.6, which was set in 2006-07, according to the weather service.

Snow showers are expected across the Gaylord area this weekend, and into early next week, according to the weather service.

The Gaylord area typically sees roughly 148.8 inches of snow during winter, according to the weather service.
