DETROIT, MI — Michigan’s Democratic candidates for governor faced off in a debate in Detroit July 19, hosted by WDIV-Local 4 and the Michigan Democratic Party. It featured former executive director of the Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, entrepreneur Shri Thanedar, and former Minority Leader of the Michigan Senate Gretchen Whitmer.
They discussed their visions and strategies for the future of Michigan and addressed topics like healthcare, car insurance, abortion, legalizing marijuana, gun violence and Michigan's water battle.
