METRO DETROIT — Another round of scattered rain showers will develop over southeastern Michigan before highs reach the 50s again this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect the rain to push through the metro Detroit area by the early afternoon hours Thursday when highs climb toward the low 40s, according to the weather service.

High temperatures across the metro region then climb back into the low 50s Friday with gusty winds reaching up to 20 miles per hour, according to the weather service.

Cooler air then moves back into the region over the weekend with highs hovering around freezing and single digit wind chills, according to the weather service.
