This Is The Most Popular Leftover On Thanksgiving

MICHIGAN — The only thing better than a food-induced coma on Thanksgiving might be knowing there’s leftovers for the week ahead. But which dish is it that Michiganders pull out of the fridge first?
It’s none other than stuffing and Michiganders aren’t alone in their obsession of leftover dressing.
The Honey Baked Ham Company conducted a nationwide survey to determine each state’s favorite leftover side dish. It turns out, America really loves stuffing (really), with 48 states selecting this side dish as their favorite Thanksgiving leftover.

Only two states—Colorado and Washington—dared to offer “mashed potatoes” instead of stuffing as the state’s favorite Thanksgiving leftover side dish, the takeout reported.. Overall, 31.1 percent of Americans chose stuffing, followed by mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole. Green beans and mac and cheese trailed by about 8 percent, and maybe few people are huge fans of cranberry sauce, seeing as it was only the top choice for 4.5 percent.
The Honey Baked Ham Company also took a look at how long leftovers typically last in America’s households. On average, Michigan residents eat their leftovers in 3 days.
