MSP Closes Part Of I-75 In Detroit To Investigate 6-Vehicle Crash
Michigan State Police said the crash, which took place around 5:20 p.m., resulted in a 6-month-old infant suffering a fractured skull.
DETROIT, MI — Southbound I-75 is closed in the city of Detroit at Clay as Michigan State Police investigate the cause of a six-vehicle crash that resulted in a 6-month-old child being critically injured.
According to troopers, the crash took place around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. When Michigan State Police arrived at the scene they located the critically injured 6-month-old girl, troopers said. EMS arrived and took the infant to a children's hospital in Detroit, troopers said. At the hospital, troopers said, the child was said to have suffered a fractured skull.
Police closed southbound I-75 at Clay and also the ramp from Clay to southbound I-75 for investigation, troopers said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
