MSP Remove 200 Roosters From Wayne County Home Wednesday

The Michigan Humane Society said more than 200 roosters were found at the River Rouge home and could be tied to a cockfighting ring.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Michigan State Police discovered and removed 200 roosters in a River Rouge home Wednesday, part of an investigation into an apparent cockfighting ring, according to the Michigan Humane Society.

The animal group said MSP investigators are current at the home, located on Oak Street, reviewing the scene. It is unclear if anyone was inside the house, the group said.
