Nearly 700 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In Michigan Thursday

MICHIGAN — Nearly 700 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Michigan Thursday, as the statewide total of coronavirus cases grew closer to 76,000.

The state reported 699 coronavirus cases, bringing the state's case total to 75,947. Michigan also reported seven new deaths attributed to the virus, upping the state's coronavirus death toll to 6,148.

Thursday's update is higher than on Wednesday, when Michigan health officials reported 523 new cases of the virus while adding six deaths due to the virus.

Michigan ranks 14th in the U.S. in coronavirus cases as of Thursday morning, one spot lower than where it ranked on Wednesday morning, according to data gathered and provided by the World Health Organization, which incorporates probable cases as well as those confirmed.
