A 27-year-old man was shot by police in the area of Plymouth Road and Wyoming Avenue on Detroit's west side, according to ClickOnDetroit.
A weapon was recovered from the scene following the shooting, ClickOnDetroit reported, before the man was arrested and taken to a local hospital. Police did not explain what led up to the shooting, the news outlet reported.

According to WXYZ, Sunday's officer involved shooting was the city's third since July 10.
