Police Investigating Shooting On I-75 In Detroit: MSP

Investigators believe the suspected vehicle is a dark color Dodge SUV.​​

DETROIT — Police said they are investigating a New Year's Eve Detroit freeway shooting.

The shooting happened in the southbound lanes on Interstate 75 near Grand River in Detroit at 9:30 p.m., according to police.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with bullet holes into the rear driver side door, according to police.

Police did not report any injuries.

"Currently troopers are gathering evidence, trying to find a motive to the shooting and reviewing video in the area of the shooting," Michigan State Police First Lieutenant Mike Shaw said.

Police asked anyone with information to call state police at 855.MICH-TIP or Crime Stoppers at 800.SPEAK.UP."
