Storms Possible Across Detroit Monday As Fall Arrives

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across metro Detroit this week to start the fall season, according to the National Weather Service.

The showers and storms will move through the area throughout Monday when highs reach the upper 70s, the weather service said.

Forecasters do not expect any severe weather, but warned heavy downpours and strong winds reaching up to 50 miles per hour are possible in some areas.

The showers and storms will stick around for most of the week with slightly above average temperatures, the weather service said.
