Three Straight Days Of Storms, Showers Possible This Week

Expect chances of thunderstorms and showers until Wednesday evening.

MICHIGAN — It has been a fairly dry season, according to meteorologists, but this week is going to make up for that. Expect a good, soaking rain this week as thunderstorms and showers are predicted from Monday afternoon through most of Wednesday.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service for thunderstorms in the following counties on Monday afternoon: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe, St. Clair, Livingston, Lapeer, Genesee, Shiawassee, Sanilac, Tuscola, Saginaw, Huron and Midland.

The rest of the week will give way to a sunny, warm weekend.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 76. East wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Light northeast wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday night
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. North northeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
