Vice President Mike Pence Coming To Michigan This Week
Vice President Mike Pence will rally with Republicans in Michigan less than 24 hours after polls close in the Michigan primary election.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Vice President Mike Pence is coming to Michigan to rally with Republicans a day after the primary election. Pence is expected at the GOP Unity Rally the evening of Aug. 7 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, the party announced.
That’s just a day after Michiganders will vote for the GOP candidate to vie for the governor’s seat in November. Pence and President Donald Trump have both endorsed Attorney General Bill Schuette for Michigan governor.
“Republicans are ready to unite and move forward, continuing to provide results for Michigan residents,” Michigan GOP Chairman Ron Weiser said in a statement. “I am thankful to have Vice President Mike Pence on hand to rally our base, support our ticket, and help Republicans across Michigan unite as we work toward victory in November.”

The Michigan Republican Party will handle ticketing for the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. No one will be admitted without a ticket. Republican candidates for governor and U.S. Senate are also expected at the Unity Rally.
Pence visited Michigan in June when he attended a Schuette fundraiser in Birmingham. He was a regular in Michigan on the 2016 trail and also delivered a commencement speech at Hillsdale College.
