Young Girl Backed Over By Neighbor, In Critical Condition
An 18-month-old girl is in critical condition after she wandered off and was struck by a neighbor backing out in Pontiac.
PONTIAC, MI — A young girl was accidentally hit by a neighbor backing out of the driveway in Pontiac Wednesday morning, authorities said. The 18-month-old is now in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the girl’s mother was putting air in her vehicle’s tire around 8:45 a.m. when her daughter walked away and was hit by the car.
Police are investigating the accident.
