1. Dexter Area Historical Society: The Dexter Area Historical Society and Museum aims to preserve the region’s history to connect its past with its future. Volunteers can assist with the Historical Society, the Museum or Gordon Hall, or help run special activities and events.

2. Dexter Lions Club: The Dexter Lions Club is a local branch of the Lions Club, a service club that welcomes members of all ages. Though the Lions are best known for providing education and resources to fight vision impairment, volunteers can partake in various community programs and special events. 3. Faith In Action: A community-funded emergency assistance and resource center, Faith In Action has locations in both Chelsea and Dexter. The center is primarily volunteer-staffed, with individuals taking set weekly shifts to answer phones, organize donations and assist clients as they shop in the food pantry.
