Driskell Campaign Hosts Coffee Hour at Dexter Picture Frame Co.

Saline Mayor Gretchen Driskell, Democratic candidate for Michigan's 52nd House District, will talk with residents at the Dexter Picture Frame Co. in Dexter on Oct. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Driskell is running against incumbent state Rep. Mark Ouimet, R-Scio Township.

Since launching her campaign, Driskell has been vocal in her criticism of the state's school funding mechanism.

"At a time when we need to be putting more resources into our classrooms, Lansing Republicans are taking resources away from our kids," Driskell said in a previous interview. "The past year we've seen school district after school district close schools, lay off teachers and squeeze more students into each classroom."
