Meet A Future Leader In Dexter: Luca Giardello

In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Luca Giardello, who are making a positive impact in and around Dexter.

Luca, a student at Chelsea High School, is a standout leader in the Dexter area, exemplifying dedication and service through his impressive achievements. As a member of Chelsea BSA Troop 476, Luca is on the path to earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. He recently completed a transformative community project at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church that involved upgrading the church’s play area with new fencing, safer equipment, and a fresh design, creating a welcoming space for local families and children. Dedicated to "Our Chelsea Neighbors," the play area reflects Luca’s commitment to improving his community and fostering connections.

Outside of his BSA involvement, Luca is a standout player on Chelsea High School’s varsity tennis team. He trained intensively during the summer to secure a spot on the team as a freshman for the 2024-2025 school year. His dedication to self-improvement, including private coaching sessions, showcases his determination to excel both on and off the court. Additionally, Luca has contributed to broader community efforts, such as assisting with rural broadband speed testing in Washtenaw County in 2023 to address gaps in internet access.

Whether enhancing recreational spaces, advancing digital equity, or excelling in athletics, Luca exemplifies the qualities of a driven and impactful young leader.
