1 Dead, 1 Arrested In Oakland County Weekend Shooting: Police

Police believe the shooter and victim knew each other.​

SOUTHFIELD, MI — A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly Oakland County shooting that happened over the weekend, according to police.

The shooting happened Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 25000 block of Shiawassee Street near Eight Mile and Beech roads in Southfield, according to police.

When officers arrived at the parking lot, they found a man shot dead with a single gunshot wound to the head, according to police.

Police described the shooter as a six-foot-tall man with a beard and wearing a black hat. They also believe the shooter and victim knew each other.

Police did not release any other details about the shooting or arrest.
