Michigan State NCAA March Madness Upset: What People Are Saying

Michigan State, the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, met No. 15 Middle Tennessee State Friday.

Michigan State University, the No. 2 seed in the March Madness NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, lost to No. 15 Middle Tennessee State, 90-81, Friday.

The heartbreaking loss ends what many had expected would be a tip to the Final Four and perhaps the Spartans’ first national championship since 2000. MSU is the only the eighth No. 2 seed in the history of the NCAA Tournament to fall to a No. 15 seed.

For basketball fans in the Great Lakes State, there’s one more March Madness game to watch Friday. The No. 11-seeded University of Michigan Wolverines meet Notre Dame at 9:40 p.m. ET Friday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
