Learn About Yoga, Hospice at Universalist Unitarian Church

The programs are part of the church's Thursday night Lifelong Learning Forum.

The Universalist Unitarian Farmington Lifelong Learning Forum hosts programs about yoga and hospice on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, in the church at 25301 Halsted Road, Farmington Hills.

Hospice 101: The Compassionate Alternative will cover the meaning of hospice, services provided, how it is paid for, who is eligible for hospice care and when to make the call. Presenters are Megan LaCross and Kim Fix, representatives for Hospice of Michigan.

Exploring the Benefits of Yoga and Meditation will cover various breathing techniques and more. No need to bring your yoga mat - just an open mind. Presenter Gary Sweetapple studied yoga and meditation and now teaches at both Livonia and Northville Yoga Studios.

A $5 donation is suggested. Refreshments will be served at our 7 p.m. social gathering. For more information about these programs and other upcoming programs, visit uuFarmington.org/learn.
