There will be significant closures on the eastbound freeway between Interstate 275 and Orchard Lake Road starting Saturday morning, according to road officials.
The closures will reduce the freeway to just one lane between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. All lanes will be open during overnight hours.

The northbound Interstate 275 ramp to eastbound Interstate 696 will also be closed through the weekend.
Drivers using M-5 will not be able to access eastbound Interstate 696 throughout the weekend.
