Man Charged In Deadly Oakland County Shooting: Police
A Man has been charged in connection with a deadly Oakland County shooting that happened over the weekend, according to police.
SOUTHFIELD, MI — A Man has been charged in connection with a deadly Oakland County shooting that happened over the weekend, according to police.
Officers found 29-year-old Tahiry Broom shot dead Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 25000 block of Shiawassee Street near Eight Mile and Beech roads in Southfield, according to police.
Robert Louis Ridges III, 28, of Southfield, was charged with second-degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm. He was placed in the Oakland County Jail without bond.

His next court date was scheduled for Feb. 26. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison for the murder charge and up to five years for carrying a concealed weapon, and up to two years for the firearm felony charge.
Prosecutors said Ridges killed Broom near Ridges’ apartment complex in Southfield after an argument.
