Section Of I-96 In Oakland County Closing This Weekend For Road Work

A section of Interstate 96 in Oakland County will close this weekend for road work, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI ā€” A section of Interstate 96 in Oakland County will close this weekend for road work, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, eastbound Interstate 96 will be closed from Milford to Novi roads from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, westbound Interstate 96 will be closed from Milford to Novi roads will be closed 4 - 9 a.m.

Drivers can use southbound Milford Road to eastbound Grand River Avenue, then northbound Novi Road back to eastbound Interstate 96. Local traffic can use Novi Road to enter eastbound Interstate 96.

There will be one lane open on westbound Interstate 96 from Wixom to Kent Lake roads from 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, until 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12.
