Stretch Of I-75 In Oakland County Closing Down Soon For Bridge Work

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI ā Construction crews will close both directions on Interstate 75 between U.S. 24 and Saginaw Road in northern Oakland County next weekend for a planned bridge demolition, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Crews will close both directions on the freeway at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4 to destroy the Rattalee Lake Road bridge over Interstate 75, officials said.
Officials expect the freeway will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7. All traffic during the closure will be detoured onto Dixie Highway, officials said.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing approximately $160 million to resurface and repair Interstate 75 from Michigan 15 (Ortonville Road) to the Oakland/Genesee County line.
