SUV Crashes Into Oakland County Home: Police

The homeowner said they thought someone threw a bomb into their home when the SUV struck the house early Thursday.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — An Oakland County resident thought someone threw a bomb into their home when an SUV crashed into their living room early Thursday morning, according to police.

The crash happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at a home in the area of Middlebelt and 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, according to police.

Officials said the SUV drove through a window in the home's living room and stopped fully inside the home.

Officials treated one person at the scene. They did not report any injuries. They were also still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
