UPDATE: Thieves Take Appliances from Farmington Hills Homes Under Construction

The appliances had been delivered on Friday; workers discovered them missing on Monday.

UPDATEFarmington Hills Police issued a Nixle.com alert Wednesday morning, asking anyone with information about appliance thefts at two homes under construction on Heirloom Drive to call 248-871-2760. 

Builders working in the homes last week returned to the sites Monday to find some appliances delivered Nov. 22 had been stolen. 

According to police, officers were called to a home in the 33000 block, where a cook top, range hood vent, dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer had been taken. They found forced entry marks on a door leading from the garage into the home. Police said the garage had no overhead door. 

While investigating, officers discovered a range hood vent had also been taken from a home two doors away. There was no sign of forced entry at that home, police said.
