Fenton Students Place in Debate Tournament

The Fenton Rotary sponsored a middle school debate tournament March 17 called the Individual War of Words (IWOW) competition with teams that are part of the Tri County League of Debate Clubs. 

First place winner was Lena Maldonado from Schools who also won a $1,000 scholarship. Second place was Christine Davis from St. Johns Catholic School in Fenton, with a $500 scholarship. Third place was Libby Draeger from St. Johns, who also won a $250 scholarship, and in fourth place was Abby Smith, from Lake Fenton, who also won a $250 scholarship. Linden, Holy Rosary, Lake Fenton and St. Johns competed in the tournament.
