Crime Report: Police Arrest Two Underage Drinkers at Different Parties at Same Residence

The following arrest information was supplied by the city of Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

visited a residence on the 400 block of West Elizabeth Street twice during the holiday weekend on disturbing the peace complaints.

Lt. Jason Slater said police have also visited the home on several other occasions during the past two months.

On July 1, police responded to a call about a loud party at the residence and upon arrival officers observed two males and three females inside the home talking loudly and drinking beer.

Once the resident answered the door, two females fled from the home. Police found one of the females nearby underneath a trailer, Slater said. He said she smelled of alcohol and a preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of .08 and the 18-year-old Fenton resident was arrested and cited for consuming alcohol under 21.

Slater said the resident of the home was also ticketed for furnishing alcohol to persons under 21.

Around 2:30 a.m. on July 3, police were again dispatched to the residence on a noise complaint.

Slater said upon arrival officers observed a teenage female who appeared to be intoxicated. The 19-year-old Fenton Township resident took a preliminary breath test, which revealed a .118 blood alcohol content. Slater said police cited her for consuming alcohol under 21.

Retail fraud

Police received a retail fraud complaintΒ  on June 28 from the Fenton .

Slater said loss prevention employees reported a man had concealed a knife and exited the store without paying for the item, and then fled on a dark blue motorcycle.

Police spotted the vehicle on Owen Road near U.S. 23 and initiated a traffic stop and Slater said the man admitted to taking the knife.

The 21-year-old Swartz Creek man was arrested, taken back to the police department and given a notice to appear in court.
