Many friends mentioned how Katie would want them to be happy, so Fenton Patch asked them to remember the good times, "What is your favorite Katie memory?"

Here are the answers:

"Haha, there was probably a few but one was her 14th birthday party she got to invite five or six of her closest friends to go to the salon but Katie didn't know it was a surprise party afterwards, we all got our makeup, hair, and nails done and then we got in dresses and went down the basement and, boom, surprise party. Everyone got to stay the night about 12 people did. Katie was so surprised. It was so much fun! Katie looked Beautiful <3. I love Katie (:" -Madison Ballard, 13

"I have had so many memories with Katie but my one of my favorite is the days in the summer last year of just me and her hanging out swimming in my pool and jumping on my trampoline. Katie was crazy enough to jump from my tree fort on to the trampoline. We did so much together that summer she practically lived at my house.

Another memory of Katie was when we went to Walmart in Fenton and she wore a cow mask and was mooing and asking where the milk was. I never laughed so hard in my life. Katie always knew how to make a person laugh." - Karley Walsh, 14

"My favorite memory of Katie is sleeping in a tent and having animals attack the outside of the tent." - Erin Fuller, 14

"My favorite memory with Katie is hard to choose. There is a few that are very memorable to me, although there is one that sticks out. My family, the Wyatts, DeLongs, and the Adams all went on a trip to Frankenmuth. We stayed at the Bavarian Inn and ate out together for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner was a great part of the trip. We ate the family chicken dinner for the four families. We got a great big table and had a great time. The accordion player came over and stood by our table for a while and played any song we asked her too. We got the entire room swinging their napkins in the air and of course Katie started it. What Katie wants Katie gets! The table behind and in front of us started to sing which led the whole room to join in. Katie had a great time and she always had a smile on her face. When dinner was done we got to eat all the ice cream we wanted. Before we left the Bavarian Inn restaurant Katie got pictures with the waiters who were dressed in German costumes. The rest of the night we went to the arcade and played games and won a bunch of prizes. We also played mini golf, went swimming, and went into the karaoke room to listen to everyone sing. Our entire group got on stage and sang WE ARE FAMILY! It was a blast. We gathered around some of Katie's favorite songs and put them on a disk. Katie's song came on and my brother asked her to dance. Then gradually little by little more and more people walked on stage and started to dance. We had a mock of her 8th grade formal that she wasn't able to attend. The next day we all went to town and went to fudge shop, and got ice cream, and then on the way home we went to a sausage shop. This is my favorite memory because I got to spend a lot of time with Katie for more than just a few hours. She made the trip very enjoyable and I wish I could do it again. Katie is always in my heart." - Autumn Beltinck, 15

"My favorite Memory with Katie was when I was at her house visiting with her and I was sitting on her little couch by her bed and it was her Super Bowl party... there was tons of food and Katie and Cassi Adams and Maddie Bunting we mixing all the food together... Cassi dared me to eat it. Katie told me that she would give me $5 if I did.. then she ran out of the room yelling for her dad to give her $5 dollars for Isabelle." - Isabelle McIntosh, 13

"The most memorable time that I had with Katie was in 4th grade. She came over my house for the first time and my sisters and dad were talking in Albanian and she kept saying "What are they saying?" and " Are they talking about me?" I would always so "No Katie don't worry they aren't." That night after dinner we went into a room the use to be empty and we had a crazy contest (I'm not going to say) but she ended up winning. I kept trying but she no matter what kept beating me. That was the best time I had with her. Also playing in the Katie Game was another great time that I had. Trying to help raise money for her and her family. - Liria Dedivanaj, 13
