Man Arrested for Stealing Diapers, Hard Drives

The following information was provided by the Fenton Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Police arrested a 37-year-old Flint resident on retail fraud charges after employees reported he took several items and left the store without paying for them around 12:15 p.m. Aug. 22.

Chief Rick Aro said the man told police he stole a box of diapers and also three portable hard drives, valued at $250, he planned to sell at a Flint pawn shop to help pay his bills.

Aro said police held the man overnight and gave him a notice to appear in court.

Keyed car

A 62-year-old Fenton resident reported that someone keyed his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado around 3 p.m. Aug. 21 while it was parked on the South Leroy Street.

He told police the truck had been scratched on all sides. He reported that a man in the nearby parking lot seemed to be upset at him, but he had no idea why.

Police have no suspects.
