The good news is that the contractors have been able to progress quickly on the water main project, and they are taking the businesses concerns and issues with water shutdowns seriously. In light of this, the contractors' plans have changed for this week of May 20th for water connections.

The water shutdowns will still occur either Thursday and/or Friday this week  for the following:

  • Residents on Kenton
  • Residents on Beaufield
  • Dairy Queen (their service feeds off of Kenton St., not Nine Mile)

Water connections can take up to 4 hours. All other businesses will not be affected by a shut down.

Service reconnections for businesses along Nine Mile will occur the week of May 28th, which only take about 1/2hr.

Also note: there was a water main break earlier this morning, but the situation was handled quickly and efficiently. The only business affected by this brief shutdown (@1hr.) was Courtesy Cleaners.
