Man Arrested In Double Killing Of Oakland County Mom And Son: Police
The man was arrested after investigators found evidence in a Pontiac home connected to the double killing, according to police.
HAZEL PARK, MI β A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the killing of an Oakland County mom and her 12-year-old son, according to police.
Officers found 41-year-old Linda Hill and her son, Kardi Jackson, dead Monday inside a Hazel Park located on Berdeno Avenue, near Interstate 75 and 9 Mile Road, according to police.
A 43-year-old Redford man was arrested in connection with the double killing after officers executed a search warrant at a Pontiac home, according to police.

Investigators found evidence in the home connected to the double killing, according to police.
Police did not identify the man, but said he was placed in the city jail while the investigation continues.

Investigators didn't say how the 41-year-old woman and her 12-year-old son died, but noted they sustained injuries from "apparent trauma."
Hazel Park Schools said the boy was a student within the district. They also said they would make counselors and mental health professionals available to students affected by their classmate's death.
"Please take a moment to hug your children and remind them how much they are loved," a statement from the school district read. "Encourage them to be especially compassionate and supportive of their classmates, as you never know what someone else is going through."
Family members created a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs. As of Wednesday, the page had raised more than $8,000.
"Linda was loved by everyone who knew her; she would have given the shirt off her back to help others," the page read. "Kardi was the sweetest child, never bothered anyone, always enjoying his video games and spending time with family."
