Security Guard Duct-Taped, Kidnapped During Break-In At Oakland Co. Marijuana Store: Reports
Two men were arrested and at least four other people were still on the loose, police said.
HAZEL PARK, MI β Two men were arrested and at least four other people were still on the loose after a break-in and kidnapping at an Oakland County marijuana business last week, according to multiple news reports citing police.
The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. last Friday at the HP Lab Group Processing Center on John R Road near 8 Mile Road in Hazel Park, police said.
Police said an officer was in the area when she noticed a cloud of debris coming from a nearby building. As the officer approached the area, she noticed a U-Haul truck leaving the scene and saw that a vehicle had crashed into the building, producing a gaping hole, police said.

Officers continued chasing the U-Hual to the area of Newport and Camden in Detroit where the box truck stopped and the suspects got out and fled on foot, police said.
Officers were able to arrest two men, but four other people got away, police said.
Police also said about 40 THC vape cartridges were recovered at the scene.
Another group of officers responded to the marijuana business, where they found a security guard, who told officers that he was sitting in his car outside the building when the armed suspects approached him, police said.
The security guard told officers the suspects walked up and pointed guns at him. He then said they dragged him out of his car, disarmed him and duct taped his hands and mouth, police said.
The suspects then put him back into his car and drove him a short distance away, where he eventually freed himself and walked back to the parking lot, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, police said.
Police identified the two people arrested as 36-year-old Michael Allen Hopson and 24-year-old Michael Lamont Robinson.
They were charged with unlawful imprisonment, a 15-year felony, and breaking and entering, a 10-year felony. They were placed in jail with a bond set at $500,000 each.
