• GM's Flint-area plants award $300K in community grants (flintbeat.com) — GM’s Flint-area plants are giving $300,000 in grants to nine Flint and Genesee County nonprofits, including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint, Kettering University, and the Flint Children’s Museum. The funding supports STEAM education, road safety, and community programs, alongside major employee donations and thousands of volunteer hours.

• ‘Laid Off Today' GM Pauses Corvette Production (motorbiscuit.com) — GM is extending holiday downtime at its Flint Assembly plant, raising questions about how the pause could affect temporary workers who don’t receive supplemental pay. While an anonymous online commenter speculates GM may be nudging temps to quit, the company publicly frames the shutdown as routine maintenance, with all laid-off workers expected back once production resumes in January.
