More than a dozen horses shut down a highway Wednesday morning in west Michigan, according to police.

BRYON TOWNSHIP, MI β€” More than a dozen horses shut down a highway Wednesday morning in west Michigan, according to Michigan State Police.

The group of horses wandered on Michigan 6 between US 131 and Hanna Lake Avenue in Byron Township, disrupting traffic, according to police.

Troopers shut down that part of the highway and wrangled up the horses, according to police.

The horses were then placed into a trailer and returned home, according to police.

There were roughly 15 horses total that got loose from a nearby boarding facility, according to a Wood TV report.
