Subject: Technology Home Over Winter Break / Winter Break Office Hours

Dear GRPS Families and Staff,

I am writing to share important information about student technology and the district’s office hours over the winter break.

Technology Home Over Break: We are asking that all students bring their technology (iPad / Chromebook) home with them over winter break. This request is being made as a precautionary measure if a student is required to quarantine after the break due to a close contact or positive COVID test or any other extenuating circumstances that may require students to work virtually.

We want to be clear that we are planning to be 100% in-person on Monday, January 3, 2022, but given these uncertain times, we want to be prepared for anything.

District Office Hours Over Break: The district’s main office at the Rev. Lyman S. Parks Administration Building (1331 Franklin St. SE) will be open to the public Monday, December 20 through Thursday, December 23 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. It will be closed between Monday, December 27 and Friday, December 31. All school buildings are closed from Monday, December 20 through Friday, December 31.

Asunto: Dispositivos electrónicos en casa durante las vacaciones de invierno/Horario de la oficina del distrito durante las vacaciones de invierno

Estimadas familias y personal de GRPS,

Les escribo para compartir información importante sobre los dispositivos electrónicos de nuestros alumnos y el horario de la oficina del distrito durante las vacaciones de invierno.

Dispositivos electrónicos en casa durante las vacaciones: Estamos pidiendo que todos los alumnos lleven sus dispositivos electrónicos (iPad/Chromebook) a casa durante las vacaciones de invierno. Estamos haciendo este pedido como medida de precaución en caso de que un alumno tenga que ponerse en cuarentena después del receso debido a un contacto cercano o una prueba COVID positiva o cualquier otra circunstancia atenuante que pueda exigir que los alumnos trabajen virtualmente.

Queremos dejar claro que estamos planeando volver a clase 100% en persona el lunes 3 de enero de 2022, pero dados estos tiempos inciertos, queremos estar preparados para cualquier cosa. 

Horario de la oficina del distrito durante las vacaciones: La oficina principal del distrito en el Edificio Administrativo Rev. Lyman S. Parks (1331 Franklin St. SE) estará abierta al público entre el lunes 20 de diciembre y el jueves 23 de diciembre de 8:00 am a 4:00 pm. Estará cerrada entre el lunes 27 de diciembre y el viernes 31 de diciembre. Todas las escuelas estarán cerradas desde el lunes 20 de diciembre hasta el viernes 31 de diciembre.

Ninawaandikia ili kushiriki maelezo muhimu kuhusu teknolojia ya wanafunzi na saa za kazi za wilaya wakati wa likizo ya majira ya baridi.

Likizo ya Technology Home Over: Tunawaomba wanafunzi wote wabebe vifaa vyao (iPad / Chromebook) wanaporudi nyumbani wakati wa likizo ya majira ya baridi. Tunatoa ombi hili kama hatua ya tahadhari ikiwa mwanafunzi anahitajika kujiweka karantini baada ya likizo kwa sababu ya kumkaribia mtu aliyeambukizwa au akiwa na vipimo chanya vya virusi vya COVID au hali nyinginezo ambazo zinaweza kuhitaji wanafunzi kufanya kafanya kazi mtandaoni.

Tungependa kuweka bayana kuwa tunapanga kuwa na masomo ya ana kwa ana kwa wanafunzi wote siku ya Jumatatu, tarehe 3 Januari, 2022, lakini kutokana na nyakati hizi za sintofahamu, tungependa kujiandaa kwa lolote lile.

Saa za Kazi za Wilaya Wakati wa Likizo: Ofizi kuu ya wilaya iliyo katika Jengo la Usimamizi la Rev. Lyman S. Parks (1331 Franklin St. SE) itafunguliwa kwa minajili ya umma Jumatatu, tarehe 29 Desemba hadi Alhamisi, tarehe 23 Desemba kuanzia saa 8:00 asubuhi hadi saa 4:00 alasiri. Itafungwa kati ya Jumatatu, tarehe 27 Desemba na Ijumaa, tarehe 31 Desemba. Majengo yote ya shule yatafungwa kuanzia Jumatatu, tarehe 20 Desemba hadi Ijumaa, tarehe 31 Desemba.
