Flash Flood Warning For Grosse Pointe, St. Clair Shores Areas: NWS
Forecasters warned those areas can see more than 2 inches of rain through the afternoon hours Friday.

GROSSE POINTE, MI — A flash flood warning was issued for parts of Macomb and Wayne counties due to heavy rain Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning was issued for areas in Grosse Pointe, Hamtramck and St. Clair Shores until 4 p.m.
Forecasters said those areas have seen an inch of rain in the last 30 minutes and could see more than 2 more inches of rain through the afternoon hours Friday.

Residents were urged to move to higher ground and avoid driving and walking through flooded areas.
