2 Suspects Arrested in Connection to Counterfeit Money Found in Brighton
Police say two suspects had been printing fake bills in their Howell apartment.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with counterfeit money found in Brighton last month.
According to a release from theΒ Brighton Police Department,Β investigators from the Brighton PD, LAWNET and the Howell PoliceΒ Department have arrested two subjects who police sayΒ had beenΒ printing the fake bills in their Howell apartment.
In November, police reported thatΒ two businesses in BrightonΒ had discovered fake $20 bills had been used for purchases and that the bills in questionΒ were high quality photocopies on heavy paper that made the bills feel quite real.Β
Police say both suspects haveΒ admitted to making and distributing the counterfeit bills.Β
Police say the case, including theΒ seized printing materials and counterfeit bills, have beenΒ turned over to the U. S. Secret Service who will be pursuing federal charges against the couple.
