Community mourning loss of Harry Griffith (thelivingstonpost.com) — Howell is mourning Harry Griffith, a 95-year-old Realtor and civic leader who once sold or appraised much of the area and was named Howell’s Citizen of the Year in 2019. From Crandall Realty on East Grand River to the Howell Rotary, Chamber, and American Legion, his decades of service helped shape the community many residents know today. 
2. These are some of the biggest data center projects on the table in Michigan (crainsgrandrapids.com) — A massive Meta-backed data center proposed for Livingston County’s Howell Township is on hold after officials approved a six‑month pause on such projects and the developer pulled its rezoning request. The multi‑phase complex, projected at over $1 billion per phase, is one of several huge data center plans across Michigan now facing close local scrutiny.
3. Professor builds inclusive youth leagues through partnerships (msu.edu) — Inclusive youth sports rooted in the Howell Area Junior Baseball Association and supported by Cleary University in Howell are giving children with disabilities tailored ways to play baseball and hockey. Led by MSU professor Sarah Dunkel-Jackson, the SAFE Challenge programs rely on local partners, volunteers, and national recognition to expand adaptive leagues and camps while building community understanding around disability.
4. Former sheriff deputy pleads no contest to filming ‘unclothed' family member (mlive.com) — A former Oakland County sheriff’s deputy faces up to two years in prison after admitting to secretly recording a family member in a home in Oceola Township, just east of Howell. Michigan State Police say the hidden cameras captured sexually explicit images, and Livingston County prosecutors secured a no-contest plea to surveillance and eavesdropping charges.
