5 Things to Know About Macomb Patch
Answers to many of your questions on how to interact with the site.

There's an adage that it takes a village to raise a child. Repurposing that same idea, we submit that it takes a township to grow a Patch.
Macomb Patch is three weeks old today, which, translated into human years, is right around the terrible twos. Now, more than ever, Macomb Patch needs the support and input of its community.
Patch was born out of a love for community news and its Website was designed to foster conversation about this news. There are countless opportunities to comment on stories, share your opinions, post photos and announcements and add events to the community calendar.

1. Comment on an article
At Patch, we believe that "news is a conversation." Our stories are rooted in the community and many come in reader e-mails, comments on our site and conversations about town. We encourage you to share your thoughts and reactions to our articles by posting in the comment boxes at the end of each story.
2. Ask a question
Perhaps you want to know when that dirt road is finally going to be paved, or you are a local history buff with stories to share. Patch's Q&A section is the place for you to ask your questions and spread your knowledge, all while connecting with your neighbors. Visit http://macomb.patch.com/questions and ask a question, or answer someone else's.
3. Post an event
Is your organization hosting an event, your child's school having a concert, a well-known author speaking at the library or a history exhibit opening up nearby? Is there a Mom2Mom sale or a graduation ceremony coming up? If we don't already have it listed on our Patch calendar, feel free to add it yourself at http://macomb.patch.com/search/events.
4. Post an announcement
Post wedding, engagement and birth announcements on our site. Brag about who made the honor roll or won the big game and shout out words of thanks for the National Honor Society students who raked your lawn. If you're looking for volunteers or searching for a lost pet, we welcome you to spread the word in your community. But please remember, our Terms of Use say announcements should be for personal and nonprofit use and not for advertising.
5. Sign up for newsletters
The daily Macomb Patch newsletter brings you all the articles and announcements that have been posted in the last 24 hours directly to your e-mail inbox every day at 6 a.m. You can also sign up for the weekly newsletter, which shows a subset of the content created and featured on our site over the past few days. It is delivered every Thursday at 10 a.m.
