Deadline Extended for Anton Art Center's Banner Design Contest

The submission deadline has been extended for the Anton Art Center’s lamppost banner design contest for Macomb County ninth through 12th graders.

Students are invited to submit designs for banners that will be hung throughout downtown Mount Clemens. The theme of the banners should be “My Michigan,” and artwork should display Michigan’s personal significance to the student. A personal statement is also required for entry.

Design submissions must measure 9 inches high by 24 inches wide. Paper is available at the Anton Art Center during normal business hours. Entry forms are available at the center, and may also be downloaded from www.theartcenter.org.

Entries are due June 3, 2012. The public will then be invited to vote for their favorite designs during a two-day Facebook Frenzy, and the winning banners will be printed and hung in downtown Mount Clemens over the summer.
