Late Resident Leaves $156,000 Gift to Immanuel Lutheran Church

On Sunday, Jan. 29, 2011, was presented a check in the amount of $156,000 from the family of Marie Terry.

Terry was a member of Immanuel, who felt that the ministry of Immanuel shared the love of Jesus in such a way that many people were helped. Because of this, she remembered Immanuel in her will.

“Marie was the type of person who was always sharing her faith with those she knew," said Pastor Michael Lutz, senior pastor of Immanuel, in a prepared statement. "We were blessed to have her as part of our family. It was also a joy to visit her after she became sick. Even during her illness, her positive attitude and love for Jesus blessed us and those she knew. This gift has been placed into our church’s endowment in her memory and will benefit many people for years to come.”
