LCN Bowler Takes Home 'Top Female' Title at County Championships

The L’Anse Creuse High School-North bowling teams competed in the Macomb County Championships Jan. 21 at Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights.

In the girls division, there were more than 100 bowlers representing 18 Macomb County schools. LCN student Alyssa Meade took the title of Top Female Bowler with a three game total of 687.

“She had games of 258-208-221,” said Brian Thomas, head coach. “She thought it might be a tough day with opens in her first two frames but followed with 10 strikes in row.”

“The Macomb County Championship was her second title this year; she also won the LCN Singles Invitational in early December when she just missed bowling a perfect game by one pin with a 299,” added Thomas.
