Following on the success of four Business Climate surveys, Macomb County is conducting a Community Climate Survey with the goal of improving County government.
Since 2009, Oakland University, in a partnership with the Macomb County Planning & Economic Development Department, has conducted four Business Climate surveys used to assess the conditions of Macomb’s economic climate. The results of the survey have played a key role in measuring the health or our economy and have proven to be a useful tool in determining future needs.
The Community Climate Survey, which will measure residents’ sentiments on a wide variety of topics such as public safety, access to recreation and quality of government services, is available on the Macomb County government homepage at www.MacombCountyMI.gov.
“We will take data generated from this survey and turn it into information that allows us to understand our strengths and weaknesses as a County,” said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, in a prepared statement. “Our goal is to serve the public and conducting this survey creates a dialogue that allows us to be more receptive to the public’s needs and enables us to prioritize resources.”
The survey, open to all Macomb County residents, is available online now and will remain online until July 31. After that time, the results will be reviewed and available to the public.
