Boy, 16; Hit, Killed While Riding Bike In Macomb County: Police

ARMADA TOWNSHIP, MI — A 16-year-old boy died early Friday morning after he was hit by an SUV while riding a bike, according to Michigan State Police.

The crash happened at 5:35 a.m. Friday on Armada Ridge Road near True Road in Armada Township, according to police.

Police said the boy was riding a bicycle along Armada Ridge Road when he was hit by a 2018 Jeep Compass.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Jeep, a 66-year-old Memphis man, was passing another vehicle when he hit the boy, according to police.

Police did not report any other injuries in the crash.
