Cougars Host Ike in Classic Postseason Matchup

It’s a showdown of two of the most storied football teams in the Macomb Area Conference.

When Macomb Dakota and Utica Eisenhower square off in district play of the 2015 football state playoffs Friday night at Dakota, survival in the playoffs and bragging rights will be on the line.

Dakota comes into the game 8-2 overall and on a high note after thumping Utica Ford 38-19.

Meanwhile, the Eagles soar into the contest 7-3 overall, and on the heels of a thrilling 23-20 double-overtime win over favored Chippewa Valley in the opening round of the tournament.

The winner of Friday night’s contest squares off against Dearborn Fordson or Detroit Cass Tech next week. The loser goes home.
