Shawnee Elementary opened in Macomb Township in August 2002 and to celebrate its 10th birthday, the school is holding a birthday celebration in conjunction with its annual school year sneak peek.
Students A-L will get their sneak peek from 3 to 3:45 p.m. and students M-Z from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.
The birthday party is open to students and their families as well as former students and employees.

The Detroit Police Blue Pigs Band will perform, and clowns, magicians and sweet treats will also be part of the event.
