Macomb Township Seeking Bids For Water Main Project
Macomb Township invites contractors to bid on the Water Main Gaps project.
Macomb Township will accept sealed bids for the Macomb Township Water Main Gaps project until 10am on April 10. At that time the bids will be publicly accepted at read aloud, according to officials.
Plans and specifications for the work are on file and copies may became available Tuesday. Bidders can download plans and specifications for free if they register as plan holders by phone at (586) 726-1234. The call will provide all download instructions. The bids also require a certified check or bank draft for 5% of the total bid amount, “payable without condition” to the Township of Macomb. The deposit acts as “security for the acceptance of this contract,” the township said in a release. Bid bonds issued by approved surety companies are also acceptable.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled “Macomb Township 2016 Water Main Gaps.” Bidders may submit any questions via email to Michael Smith at msmith@aewinc.com. Questions must be received by April 3. Bids should be submitted to the Township of Macomb, 54111 Broughton Road, Macomb, MI 48042 by April 10.
